Back To The Start

To fix what was broken

She had to find the parts of her that were stolen

To speak the words left unspoken

And take her mind to a place she had never awoken

To chain the pain in the past

She had to stop the path where light wasn’t cast

Believe that bad feelings couldn’t last

And stop her heart from breaking so fast

Maybe she would not be put back like she was whole

And she could never pretend that pieces of her never broke

But those ugly parts and broken pieces could never yoke her back into the hole

Where she did not have sole control
