Arts & Culture Highlights Life Mental Health Awareness

Caged

I created this painting to represent how negative thoughts and feelings about ourselves can make us feel trapped or “caged,” preventing us from thoroughly enjoying our lives. The painting also displays irony, reminding us that the feeling of being trapped is just an illusion in our minds. All we need to do is free ourselves from our negative thoughts in order to find out that the key is right in front of us and the door is wide open, inviting us to enjoy everything that life has to offer!
