An immigrant from Qatar, I moved to Calgary in 2007 after having lived in three continents, three countries, and six different cities. Moving here became a juxtaposition of realities as I had never identified with a singular identity or labelled as a singular race, until I moved here.
My travels and experiences have led me down a path that have shown me different intricacies of different cultures and their traditions from people of all shades and walks of life.
I attended Mount Royal University for the Bachelor of Communications, which heightened my passion for writing and my creative side. Finding a way to utilize my creative writing skills and passion to implement change that could impact individuals and communities in society positively, is something that I have always longed to do. I am grateful to be part of the ARTiculate team and put my passion to use!
